Ignition conditions and characteristics for distillant fuel under to local conductive heating [PDF]
Describes the methodology and results of experimental studies of ignition of diesel fuel and a cloth impregnated with this fuel by a hot steel particle are outlined. The layer thickness of liquid fuel was changed from 1 mm to 11 mm.

Correlations for the ignition delay times of hydrogen/air mixtures [PDF]
Correlations for the ignition delay times of hydrogen/air mixtures were developed using the method of High Dimensional Model Representation (HDMR). The hydrogen/air ignition delay times for initial conditions over a wide range of temperatures from 800 to 1600 K, pressures from 0.1 to 100 atm, and equivalence ratios from 0.2 to 10 were first calculated ...

Ignition Delay Times of Kerosene (Jet-A)/Air Mixtures
Ignition of Jet-A/air mixtures was studied behind reflected shock waves. Heating of shock tube at temperature of 150 C was used to prepare a homogeneous fuel mixture. Ignition delay times were measured from OH emission at 309 nm and from absorption of He-Ne laser radiation at 3.3922 micrometers.

Direct sensitivity analysis for ignition delay times
Abstract The sensitivity coefficients of ignition delay time with respect to chemical kinetic rate parameters is traditionally calculated using a brute force approach wherein the number of initial value problems solved is no fewer than the number of rate parameters. By reformulating the underlying initial value problem as a boundary value problem, it

Ignition characteristics of nitromethane-doped ethanol in a heated shock tube
Ignition delay times of nitromethane-doped ethanol dual fuels are measured under the micro-combustion engine conditions (8 × 105 Pa and 904–1477 K). The promotion effect of nitromethane on ethanol ignition is more pronounced at a fuel-lean condition;

A Comparison of Sensitivity Metrics for Two-Stage Ignition Behavior in Rapid Compression Machines [PDF]
A rapid compression machine (RCM) multi-zone model is used to simulate the ignition of primary reference fuel (PRF) mixtures that exhibit two-stage ignition behavior.
