Ignition characteristics of nitromethane-doped ethanol in a heated shock tube
Ignition delay times of nitromethane-doped ethanol dual fuels are measured under the micro-combustion engine conditions (8 × 105 Pa and 904–1477 K). The promotion effect of nitromethane on ethanol ignition is more pronounced at a fuel-lean condition;

An Empirical Correlation to Predict the Ignition Delay Time for Some Hydrocarbon Fuels [PDF]
Examination of the available ignition delay time data and correlations in the case of methane, butane, heptane, decane, kerosene, Jet-A and ethylene fuels, allowed the derivation and recommendation of standard equations for this property.

Influence of high ethane content on natural gas ignition
The effect of ethane on combustion and natural gas autoignition was studied in the present paper. Two fuel mixture of natural gas with high ethane content were considered, 75% CH4 – 25% C2H6 (mixture 1), and 50% CH4 – 50% C2H6 (mixture 2).

Shock Tube Study of Ignition Delay Times for Hydrogen–Oxygen Mixtures
This paper presents the results of measurements of ignition delay times in hydrogen–oxygen mixtures highly diluted with argon. The experiments were carried out behind an incident shock wave at temperatures from 870 to 2500 K, pressures from 0.5 to 1.5 atm, and equivalence ratios from 0.1 to 2.0.

Study of Optimum Blasting Condition to Lower the Blasting Vibration
Because blasting is a quite efficient and economical excavation method, it has been widely applied to tunnel excavation especially in hard rock. However, this method is rarely used to the tunnel site close to residential houses due to its environmental ...
