W latach 1939-1945 zginęło lub zmarło blisko 300 parlamentarzystów II RP, w tym 155 senatorów. Jednym z nich był Tadeusz Karszo-Siedlewski (1893 – 1939), herbu Ogończyk, senator IV i V kadencji (od 1935 r.), przed wojną znany przemysłowiec. Brał udział w wojnie 1920 r. za co otrzymał Krzyż Virtuti Militari.
