Russian Metallurgy (Metally), 2011The reducing roasting of the titanium-containing concentrates of deposit Tsentral’noe is studied over a wide range of operating conditions to develop a new technology of processing to exclude melting in an electric furnace. The roasting products are investigated by scanning electron microscopy and electron-probe microanalysis.

Chlorination of reduced ilmenite concentrates and synthetic rutile
International Journal of Mineral Processing, 2011Chlorination of reduced ilmenites of different grades (primary, secondary and HYTI 70) and synthetic rutile was investigated at 235 °C. The main phases of primary and secondary ilmenites were FeTi O and FeTiO; HYTI 70 contained TiO ; synthetic rutile consisted of titania with titanium suboxides and trace amount of iron.

Becher Method Application for Ilmenite Concentrates of Vietnam
2020Several methods used to extract iron from ilmenite concentrate to increase TiO2 content of ilmenite concentrates such as Benelite, Ishihara, Murso, Austpac, and Becher methods. Benelite method uses HCl for leaching of reduced iron from ilmenite. Auspac method uses hot HCl while Ishihara uses hot acid H2SO4 in the leaching stage.

Preparation of nanosized synthetic rutile from ilmenite concentrate
Minerals Engineering, 2010Abstract In this paper, the preparation of nanosized synthetic rutile by reductive hydrochloric acid leaching of mechanically activated ilmenite concentrate (FeTiO 3 ) is discussed.
