Discerning protein pools by selective staining with self‐labeling tags
Cell surface proteins have an intra‐ and extracellular pool. Combining genetic fusion to self‐labeling tags that can be addressed with small molecule fluorophores allows separating these pools. We highlight recent developments and techniques for state‐of‐the‐art interrogation of cell surface proteins in the complex tissue setting.

3D Gaussian rasterization for direct rendering of view-multiplexed images on multiview displays
Real-time rendering of three-dimensional scenes is essential for interactive, realistic display systems. Recently, representations based on 3D Gaussian primitives have emerged as a promising approach for novel view synthesis, offering both photorealistic

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Interactive Vegetation Rendering with Slicing and Blending [PDF]
Detailed and interactive 3D rendering of vegetation is one of the challenges of traditional polygon-oriented computer graphics, due to large geometric complexity even of simple plants.

Image Sampling with Quasicrystals
We investigate the use of quasicrystals in image sampling. Quasicrystals produce space-filling, non-periodic point sets that are uniformly discrete and relatively dense, thereby ensuring the sample sites are evenly spread out throughout the sampled image.

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses

Accelerated volumetric reconstruction from uncalibrated camera views [PDF]
While both work with images, computer graphics and computer vision are inverse problems. Computer graphics starts traditionally with input geometric models and produces image sequences.

Epigenetic reprogramming of lineage switching in cancer
Cancer cells rarely commit to a single identity. Epigenetic mechanisms and tumor microenvironment cues push epithelial cells toward flexible, hybrid states that can shift into mesenchymal, neuroendocrine, or stem‐like fates, driving metastasis, drug resistance, and tumor heterogeneity. Targeting the epigenetic regulators behind these transitions, using

FPGA-based image combiner for parallel rendering
S.427-432Rendering of virtual scenes is an application that still demands higher computing power for more complex and more realistic scenes. In addition to existing parallel processing inside a graphics processing unit, this paper investigates a further ...
