Mid‐infrared photothermal imaging enables multidimensional profiling of micro‐ and nanoplastics in bottled water. A total of 9.9 × 104 particles L−1 is detected, with 64% in the nanoscale regime. Spectral evolution, including peak narrowing and band shifts, reveals local chain reorganization in polyethylene terephthalate (PET), highlighting intrinsic ...

A dual-phase hybrid framework for real-time grayscale image denoising in structured noise
Image denoising is a substantial section in the preprocessing stage, especially in medical images. This study proposed a hybrid denoising model for salt-and-pepper removal in grayscale images.

The SURE-LET Approach to Image Denoising [PDF]
We propose a new approach to image denoising, based on the image-domain minimization of an estimate of the mean squared error—Stein's unbiased risk estimate (SURE).

We investigate whether Montessori and traditional schooling systems shape the developmental trajectory of large‐scale brain dynamics in different ways. We quantify the arrow of time (“non‐reversibility”) in neural activity during resting state and movie‐watching, revealing distinct maturational patterns.

Semi-blind image restoration based on Chan-Vese denoising model
A semi-blind image restoration algorithm is proposed based on reduced non-convex approximation of Luminita Vese and Tony Chan's(C-V)denoising model.Compared with C-V denoising model,we modify the fidelity term and add a term on point spread function ...

MGDP: Mastering a Generalized Depth Perception Model for Quadruped Locomotion
ABSTRACT Perception‐based Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) controllers demonstrate impressive performance on challenging terrains. However, existing controllers still face core limitations, struggling to achieve both terrain generality and platform transferability, and are constrained by high computational overhead and sensitivity to sensor noise.

Image denoising as a conditional expectation
All techniques for denoising involve a notion of a true (noise-free) image, and a hypothesis space. The hypothesis space may reconstruct the image directly as a grayscale valued function, or indirectly by its Fourier or wavelet spectrum. Most common techniques estimate the true image as a projection to some subspace.
