Temporal image fusion

Proceedings., International Conference on Image Processing, 2002
Presents a method to make dynamic image analysis by image fusion. This method is unsupervised and does not require previous knowledge of the number of relevant parameters as in statistical methods. It uses set operations to segment recursively a given region if at any following time this region appears not to be homogeneous.

Resilient image fusion

Proceedings 2000. International Workshop on Parallel Processing, 2002
The paper describes a distributed spectral-screening PCT algorithm for fusing hyper-spectral images in remote sensing applications. The algorithm provides intrusion tolerance from information warfare attacks using the notion of computational resiliency. This concept uses replication to achieve fault tolerance, but goes further to dynamically regenerate

Compressive image fusion

2008 15th IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2008
Compressive sensing (CS) has received a lot of interest due to its compression capability and lack of complexity on the sensor side. In this paper, we present a study of three sampling patterns and investigate their performance on CS reconstruction. We then propose a new image fusion algorithm in the compressive domain by using an improved sampling ...

Image Vusion: Image and Video Fusion

2015 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 2015
It is not uncommon in many image acquisition solutions to balance a trade off between obtaining high resolution images at very low frame rates or acquiring a burst of low resolution images at higher frame rates. This paper introduces a novel image fusion framework for producing a high resolution video by augmenting analysed motion in a low resolution ...

Robust Image Fusion for Image Stabilization

2007 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing - ICASSP '07, 2007
Any motion of the camera during the image integration time may determine an image degradation known as motion blur. One approach to prevent this degradation, namely multi-frame image stabilization, consists of synthesizing a potentially motion blur free image by registering and fusing multiple short exposed image frames of the same scene. In this paper

Image registration & image fusion

Proceedings of the International Conference and Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology, 2010
This paper aims to present Image registration and Image fusion used for Image processing. Sets of data acquired by sampling the same scene or object at different times, or from different perspectives, will be in different coordinate systems. Image registration is the process of transforming the different sets of data into one coordinate system ...

Hierarchical image fusion

Machine Vision and Applications, 1990
A hierarchical image fusion scheme is presented that preserves those details from the input images that are most relevant to visual perception. Results show that fused images present a more detailed representation of the scene and provide information that cannot be obtained by viewing the input images separately.

Novel Cooperative Neural Fusion Algorithms for Image Restoration and Image Fusion

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2007
To deal with the problem of restoring degraded images with non-Gaussian noise, this paper proposes a novel cooperative neural fusion regularization (CNFR) algorithm for image restoration. Compared with conventional regularization algorithms for image restoration, the proposed CNFR algorithm can relax need of the optimal regularization parameter to be ...

Image fusion using a multi-level image decomposition and fusion method

Applied Optics, 2021
In recent years, image fusion has emerged as an important research field due to its various applications. Images acquired by different sensors have significant differences in feature representation due to the different imaging principles. Taking visible and infrared image fusion as an example, visible images contain abundant texture details with high ...
