High-speed videography combined with an x-ray image intensifier for dynamic radiography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
The Spin Physics SP-2000 high-speed video system can be combined with an x-ray source, a dynamic event having internal (not directly visible) movement and an x-ray image intensifier to perform dynamic radiography.

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Effect of Image Intensifier Tube Equivalent Background Illuminationon Range Performance of Passive Night Sight

open access: yes, 2007
Effect of increase in equivalent background illumination (EBI) with temperature of secondgeneration (18 mm) proximity focused image intensifier tube on the range performance of apassive night sight has been studied using the image intensifier minimum ...

Double-Station Automatic Video Observation of the Meteors

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2010
The double station observation of the meteors by means of sensitive image intensifier technique started at the Ondrejov Observatory 10 years ago. The sensitivity of such instrumentation allows detection of the meteors down to masses of fractions of gram.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The three-dimensional point spread function and statistical image surface of the image-intensifier electron-optical system

open access: yes, 1988
An improvement in the methods of numerical calculations of the field distribution and electron-optical ray tracing makes numerical evaluation of image-intensifier systems very practical for real devices.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...
