Falls are one of the greatest risks for older adults living alone at home. This paper presents a novel visual-based fall detection approach to support independent living for older adults through analysing the motion and shape of the human body.

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Markov mezők a képmodellezésben, alkalmazásuk az automatikus képszegmentálás területén = Markovian Image Models: Applications in Unsupervised Image Segmentation [PDF]
1) Kifejlesztettünk egy olyan szín és textúra alapú szegmentáló MRF algoritmust, amely alkalmas egy kép automatikus szegmentálását elvégezni. Az eredményeinket az Image and Vision Computing folyóiratban publikáltuk.

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Scene flow estimation from 3D point clouds based on dual‐branch implicit neural representations
Recently, online optimisation‐based scene flow estimation has attracted significant attention due to its strong domain adaptivity. Although online optimisation‐based methods have made significant advances, the performance is far from satisfactory as only

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Motion analysis of the right ventricle from MRI Images [PDF]
Both normal and abnormal right ventricular (RV) wall motion is not well understood. In this paper, we use data from tagged MRI images to perform the first 3D motion study of the entire right ventricle to date. Our technique is an adaptation of a physics-based deformable modeling methodology that was successfully used on the left ventricle(LV).

Weakening the nuclear envelope: Lamin B receptor in melanoma metastasis
LBR‐driven nuclear fragility supports melanoma invasion. A: Melanocyte presents low LBR (Lamin B Receptor) levels, maintaining nuclear integrity and lamina‐chromatin tethering. B: During malignant progression, upregulation of LBR clusters at the INM (Inner Nuclear Membrane) during confined migration causes local lamina weakening and cholesterol ...

Robust Tracking in Aerial Imagery Based on an Ego-Motion Bayesian Model [PDF]
A novel strategy for object tracking in aerial imagery is presented, which is able to deal with complex situations where the camera ego-motion cannot be reliably estimated due to the aperture problem (related to low structured scenes), the strong ego ...
