Lung image segmentation by generative adversarial networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Lung image segmentation plays an important role in computer-aid pulmonary diseases diagnosis and treatment. This paper proposed a lung image segmentation method by generative adversarial networks. We employed a variety of generative adversarial networks and use its capability of image translation to perform image segmentation.

Image processing

open access: yes, 2014
Gabor filters can extract multi-orientation and multiscale features from face images. Researchers have designed different ways to use the magnitude of the filtered results for face recognition: Gabor Fisher classifier exploited only the magnitude information of Gabor magnitude pictures (GMPs); Local Gabor Binary Pattern uses only the gradient ...

Multi-task SAR Image Processing via GAN-based Unsupervised Manipulation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have shown tremendous potential in synthesizing a large number of realistic SAR images by learning patterns in the data distribution. Some GANs can achieve image editing by introducing latent codes, demonstrating significant promise in SAR image processing.

Metric‐based pill recognition with the help of textual and visual cues

open access: yesIET Image Processing
Pill image recognition by machine vision can reduce the risk of taking the wrong medications, a severe healthcare problem. Automated dispensing machines or home applications both need reliable image processing techniques to compete with the problem of ...
