Image Deblurring and Super-resolution by Adaptive Sparse Domain Selection and Adaptive Regularization

open access: yes, 2010
As a powerful statistical image modeling technique, sparse representation has been successfully used in various image restoration applications. The success of sparse representation owes to the development of l1-norm optimization techniques, and the fact ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Naive mean field approximation for image restoration

open access: yes, 2002
We attempt image restoration in the framework of the Baysian inference. Recently, it has been shown that under a certain criterion the MAP (Maximum A Posterior) estimate, which corresponds to the minimization of energy, can be outperformed by the MPM ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Multilevel FISTA for Image Restoration

open access: yesICASSP 2023 - 2023 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2023
This paper presents a multilevel FISTA algorithm, based on the use of the Moreau envelope to build the correction brought by the coarse models, which is easy to compute when the explicit form of the proximal operator of the considered functions is known.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Research on self-supervised super resolution restoration algorithm based on reflective micro-scanning optical system

open access: yesScientific Reports
The features of infrared image such as less details and low SNR become bottleneck of infrared image application. This paper mainly focuses on research of super-resolution restoration algorithm of infrared image based on reflective infrared micro-scanning

The Perception-Distortion Tradeoff

open access: yes, 2019
Image restoration algorithms are typically evaluated by some distortion measure (e.g. PSNR, SSIM, IFC, VIF) or by human opinion scores that quantify perceived perceptual quality.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Convex Variational Image Restoration with Histogram Priors

open access: yes, 2013
We present a novel variational approach to image restoration (e.g., denoising, inpainting, labeling) that enables to complement established variational approaches with a histogram-based prior enforcing closeness of the solution to some given empirical ...
