Sharing a secret gray image in multiple images
First International Symposium on Cyber Worlds, 2002. Proceedings., 2003In a traditional visual cryptography scheme, a shared secret image can be revealed with no cryptographic computations. Unfortunately, the revealed secret image of a conventional visual cryptography scheme is almost black and white. Colored visual cryptography schemes based on modified visual cryptography were recently proposed.

A Robust Secret Image Sharing Scheme
2008 First International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology, 2008Secret sharing is an efficient method of transmitting the image securely. This paper discusses an efficient secret sharing scheme. It has been shown through the experimental result that the proposed scheme transmits the image secretly and then efficiently recovers the same at the receiver end.

A Lossless Secret Image Sharing Method
2008 Eighth International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications, 2008This paper proposes a lossless (m, n) secret sharing method based on Thien and Lin's method. First, a secret image is scrambled by the toral automorphism technique to enhance the security and then the scrambled image is shared into n shadow images by the proposed method.

Relations Between Secret Sharing and Secret Image Sharing
2019Secret sharing (SS) for (k, n) threshold generates secret data into n shadows, where any k or more shadows can reconstruct the secret while any \(k-1\) or less shadows reconstruct nothing of the secret. SS is useful for cloud computing security, block chain security and so on.

Image Secret Sharing in Stego-Images with Authentication
2013Recently, a polynomial-based (t,n) image sharing and hiding schemes with authentication was proposed to hid n shares of a secret image into n ordinary cover images and form n stego-images that can be transmitted securely. But each stego-image of all existing method should be expanded to 4 times of the secret image.

An improved scheme for secret image sharing
2010 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo, 2010Secret image sharing is a technique used to secure digital images against disclosure and tampering. In this paper, we analyze the security of the secret image sharing scheme proposed by Thien and Lin [1] and expose its weakness. Their method uses a permutation step which requires a key.

Parallel Processing for Secret Image Sharing
International Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Processing with Applications, 2010Secret image sharing is a method to transmit and store an image safely. The security of secret image sharing is based on the fact that the values are operated in the finite field and the number of pixels is high enough to ensure security. However, the time complexity to encode and decode a secret image is not acceptable in real-time application.

Security Analysis of Secret Image Sharing
2017Differently from pure data encryption, secret image sharing (SIS) mainly focuses on image protection through generating a secret image into n shadow images (shares) distributed to n associated participants. The secret image can be reconstructed by collecting sufficient shadow images.

Invertible secret image sharing with steganography
Pattern Recognition Letters, 2010The essence of invertible image sharing approaches is that the revealed content of the secret image must be lossless and the distorted stego images must be able to be reverted to the original cover image. In order to achieve these purposes, we first transform the secret pixels into the m-ary notational system and then calculate the information data ...

Sharing multiple secrets in digital images
Journal of Systems and Software, 2002The share of multiple secrets among participants in secret transmission is a critical topic for a new digital image scheme. The new scheme is derived from the least significant bit substitution method and the visual cryptography method. Given some secrets and a set of cover images, the proposed scheme will convert the secrets into many bit planes and ...
