Image Stitching Based on Semantic Planar Region Consensus [PDF]

open access: greenIEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2021
Image stitching for two images without a global transformation between them is notoriously difficult. In this paper, noticing the importance of planar structure under perspective geometry, we propose a new image stitching method which stitches images by allowing for the alignment of a set of matched dominant planar regions.

A Stereo Dual-Channel Dynamic Programming Algorithm for UAV Image Stitching [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2017
Dislocation is one of the major challenges in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) image stitching. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for seamlessly stitching UAV images based on a dynamic programming approach.

Fast Anchor Point Matching for Emergency UAV Image Stitching Using Position and Pose Information [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2020
With the development of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) techniques, UAV images are becoming more widely used. However, as an essential step of UAV image application, the computation of stitching remains time intensive, especially for emergency applications.

UAV Low-Altitude Aerial Image Stitching Based on Semantic Segmentation and ORB Algorithm for Urban Traffic

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
UAVs are flexible in action, changeable in shooting angles, and complex and changeable in the shooting environment. Most of the existing stitching algorithms are suitable for images collected by UAVs in static environments, but the images are in fact ...

MIST: Accurate and Scalable Microscopy Image Stitching Tool with Stage Modeling and Error Minimization [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Automated microscopy can image specimens larger than the microscope’s field of view (FOV) by stitching overlapping image tiles. It also enables time-lapse studies of entire cell cultures in multiple imaging modalities.

A comparative analysis of pairwise image stitching techniques for microscopy images. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep
Stitching of microscopic images is a technique used to combine multiple overlapping images (tiles) from biological samples with a limited field of view and high resolution to create a whole slide image.

A robust method for image stitching [PDF]

open access: yesPattern Analysis and Applications, 2021
We propose a novel method for large-scale image stitching that is robust against repetitive patterns and featureless regions in the imagery. In such cases, state-of-the-art image stitching methods easily produce image alignment artifacts, since they may produce false pairwise image registrations that are in conflict within the global connectivity graph.

Improved Feature Point Pair Purification Algorithm Based on SIFT During Endoscope Image Stitching. [PDF]

open access: yesFront Neurorobot, 2022
Endoscopic imaging plays a very important role in the diagnosis and treatment of lesions. However, the imaging range of endoscopes is small, which may affect the doctors' judgment on the scope and details of lesions. Image mosaic technology can solve the
