Synthesis of fingerprint images
Object recognition supported by user interaction for service robots, 2003A method for synthesis of fingerprint images is presented. Global features are condensed in a linear model whose parameters are generated according to the statistical distribution of natural fingerprint patterns. When the major types of global patterns are considered independently, these parameters display a normal behavior.

2020Applications in digital histopathology often require costly expert labels to train modern machine learning algorithms. We introduce an adaptation of the Image Quilting algorithm for texture synthesis that is utilized to virtually multiply the tissues and labels.

An infrared image synthesis model

The model successfully reproduces the infrared images of the object under different viewing, ambient and internal conditions. Experimental examples illustrate the potential of our method.

Disparity interpolation for image synthesis
Pattern Recognition Letters, 2000This paper reports a novel technique to synthesize new images from two original views snapped by a weakly calibrated perspective camera. The synthesis process is based on disparity interpolation and rectification and it requires neither 3D-scene information nor additional constraints from the two original views.

Irregular Patch for Image Synthesis

In this approach, the patch copying process is performed in two stages. First an irregularly shaped feature patch is extracted from the example texture.
