A Medical Image Encryption Scheme for Secure Fingerprint-Based Authenticated Transmission

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Secure transmission of medical images and medical data is essential in healthcare systems, both in telemedicine and AI approaches. The compromise of images and medical data could affect patient privacy and the accuracy of diagnosis.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Image transmission through ionospheric channel

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2005
An operational system for image transmission through the ionospheric channel is presented. For a range of 780 km, the ‘high’ data transfer rate attains 30 kbits/s in a 9 kHz bandwidth with the implementation of a blind spatio-temporal equalisation based on the constant modulus algorithm.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Streamlined Direct Image Transmission via Plastic Optical Fiber for Automotive Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access
As automotive safety systems advance, the number of in-vehicle cameras continues to increase, placing a growing burden on their integration. Simple low-cost methods for acquiring scene images are thus required.

Transmission of quantum-secured images

open access: yesScientific Reports
AbstractThe secure transmission of an image can be accomplished by encoding the image information, securely communicating this information, and subsequently reconstructing the image. Alternatively, here we show how the image itself can be directly transmitted while ensuring that the presence of any eavesdropper is revealed in a way akin to quantum key ...

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

A Focusing Method in the Calibration Process of Image Sensors Based on IOFBs

open access: yesSensors, 2009
A focusing procedure in the calibration process of image sensors based on Incoherent Optical Fiber Bundles (IOFBs) is described using the information extracted from fibers. These procedures differ from any other currently known focusing method due to the

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.
