Study on the enhancement method of online monitoring image of dense fog environment with power lines in smart city

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurorobotics, 2023
In this research, an image defogging algorithm is proposed for the electricity transmission line monitoring system in the smart city. The electricity transmission line image is typically situated in the top part of the image which is rather thin in size.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Intensity-only optical compressive imaging using a multiply scattering material and a double phase retrieval approach

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, the problem of compressive imaging is addressed using natural randomization by means of a multiply scattering medium. To utilize the medium in this way, its corresponding transmission matrix must be estimated.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Circular Polarization-Based Quantum Encoding for Image Transmission over Error-Prone Channels

open access: yesSignals
Quantum image transmission over noisy communication channels remains a challenge due to the fragility of quantum states and their susceptibility to channel impairments.

Image transmission through ionospheric channel

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2005
An operational system for image transmission through the ionospheric channel is presented. For a range of 780 km, the ‘high’ data transfer rate attains 30 kbits/s in a 9 kHz bandwidth with the implementation of a blind spatio-temporal equalisation based on the constant modulus algorithm.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
