Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Image Enhancement Method for Photoacoustic Imaging of Deep Brain Tissue
Photoacoustic imaging (PAI) is an emerging biomedical imaging modality, offering numerous advantages, including high resolution and high contrast. In its application to brain imaging, however, the photoacoustic (PA) signals from brain tissue weaken ...

Calibration algorithms for an imaging spectrometer [PDF]
This paper presents a software calibration/characterization utility aimed to automatically perform the laboratory calibration of an imaging spectrometer. Quantitative remote sensing algorithms requires well-documented instrument optical performances along with characterization of non-uniformities as, for instance, smile and keystone.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

A Robust Sparse Imaging Algorithm Using Joint MIMO Array Manifold and Array Channel Outliers
The multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar imaging technology has attracted many scholars due to its many inherent advantages, such as avoiding complex motion compensation and imaging a quickly maneuvering target, compared to inverse synthetic ...

Golgi enzymes are retrieved from the plasma membrane to the trans‐Golgi network
Golgi enzymes are traditionally considered resident proteins retained within the Golgi apparatus. Here, we demonstrate that a subset transiently reaches the cell surface and is subsequently retrieved to the trans‐Golgi network via retrograde transport. Using a nanobody‐based toolkit, we uncover a dynamic trafficking cycle of several Golgi enzymes.

Uncertainties in the algorithmic image [PDF]
The incorporation of algorithmic procedures into the automation of image production has been gradual, but has reached critical mass over the past century, especially with the advent of photography, the introduction of digital computers and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).

An Algorithm for Understanding Spine Imaging
The presentation of a patient with primary spine pathology may be confounded by a myriad of symptoms that span many organ systems. Likewise, imaging findings are often diverse and may be as subtle as slight posterior joint asymmetry combined with paravertebral myofascial strain or as goss as fracture-dislocation with neurological sequelae. A systematic
