Role of Ferrihydrite in Adsorption of Three Imidazolinone Herbicides
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2001Adsorption of the imidazolinone herbicides imazapyr, imazethapyr, and imazaquin on synthetic ferrihydrites, either freeze-dried or not-freeze-dried, has been studied. The synthetic ferrihydrites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron micrographs, and specific area determination.

Phytostimulation of lowland soil contaminated with imidazolinone herbicides
International Journal of Phytoremediation, 2020The phytostimulation is a phytoremediation technique that can be used to remediate area contaminated with herbicides. It is necessary to select plants with high capacity to stimulate soil microbial activity. The present work aimed at evaluating seven plant species regarding their ability to phytostimulate soil and enhance the degradation of the ...

Haptens and Monoclonal Antibodies for Immunoassay of Imidazolinone Herbicides
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2002A set of haptens structurally resembling the herbicide imazethapyr (PURSUIT) was synthesized and used to derive monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) and direct and indirect competition enzyme immunoassays (EIAs) which could detect imazethapyr, imazaquin (SCEPTER), imazapic (CADRE), and imazamox (RAPTOR) in the 3-30 ng/mL (parts per billion) range, and imazapyr

Synthesis and CNS Depressant Activity of Imidazolinone Glyoxylates
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1973Six new imidazolinone glyoxylates, which exist in tautomeric equilibria with hydroxyimidazole glyoxylates, were synthesized by a new type of Claisen rearrangement and evaluated in a neuropharmacological mouse profile. CNS depression was observed in several members of the class.

Copper(II) Complexes of the Imidazolinone Herbicide Imazapyr
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1996The copper(II) complexes formed by the imidazolinone herbicide imazapyr [(±)-2-(4-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)nicotinic acid] were studied in aqueous solution by potentiometric and spectroscopic techniques. Imazapyr acts as a chelating molecule and is effective over a wide pH range.

Abiotic degradation (photodegradation and hydrolysis) of imidazolinone herbicides
Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B, 2008The abiotic degradation of the imidazolinone herbicides imazapyr, imazethapyr and imazaquin was investigated under controlled conditions. Hydrolysis, where it occurred, and photodegradation both followed first-order kinetics for all herbicides.

Synthesis of ketovinyl derivatives of 2-imidazolinone
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 19801. The reaction of 4(5)-methyl-2-imidazolinone with crotonyl chloride, chlorovinyl phenyl ketone or chlorovinyl n-amyl ketone in the presence of AlCl3 respectively, gives 4-methyl-5-crotonyl-, 4-methyl-5-phenylketovinyl- or 4-methyl-5-n-amylketovinyl-2-imidazolinone. 2.

Zoysiagrass Seedhead Suppression with Imidazolinone Herbicides
Weed Technology, 2012Options for suppressing zoysiagrass seedheads in managed turfgrass systems are limited. Experiments were conducted in 2010 and 2011 evaluating the use of imazamox (26, 52, and 70 g ai ha−1) or imazapic (52 g ai ha−1) for ‘Zenith' and ‘Meyer' zoysiagrass seedhead suppression. Imazamox and imazapic at ≥ 52 g ai ha−1suppressed Zenith zoysiagrass seedheads

Imidazolinone-Resistant Sunflower Tolerance to Imazapic
Weed Technology, 2009Field trials were conducted in Georgia in 2007 to 2008 to evaluate the tolerance of three imidazolinone-resistant sunflower cultivars to POST applications of imazapic. There was no interaction between sunflower cultivar and herbicide treatment. When averaged over sunflower cultivars, imazapic, at 70 and 140 g ai/ha and applied at 30 d after planting ...
