Control of barnyardgrass susceptible and resistant to imidazolinones at different temperature regimes before and after imazethapyr application

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Tropical, 2022
Environmental conditions can influence herbicide metabolism and interfere with the evolution of weed resistance. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of thermal regimes on the control of barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli) susceptible ...

Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of 5-imidazolinone derivatives

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2009
Several 4-arylidene-2-phenyl-1-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)-1H-imidazol-5(4H)-ones (4a-q), N-(4-benzylidene-5-oxo-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydroimidazol-1-yl)-4-chlorobenzamides (5a-o) and N-(4-benzylidene-5-oxo-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydroimidazol-1-yl)-2,4-dichlorobenzamides (6a-m) were prepared.

Native Wildflower Establishment with Imidazolinone Herbicides [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 1999
Native wildflowers are important components of grassland communities and low-maintenance wildflower seed mixtures. Weed interference limits successful establishment of native wildflowers from seed. Experiments were conducted to determine the influence of the imidazolinone herbicides imazethapyr, imazapic, and imazaquin on the ...

Performance of an S‐metolachlor capsule suspension for barnyardgrass control and crop tolerance in fenclorim‐treated rice

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Barnyardgrass [Echinochloa crus‐galli (L.) P. Beauv.] is the most problematic weed of delayed‐flooded rice (Oryza sativa L.) systems in the mid‐southern United States. Recent findings suggest that acetochlor can achieve effective barnyardgrass control in rice, but rice injury can occur with rainfall soon after application.

Formation of the Imidazolinone Ring Under Mild Conditions in the Presence of Sodium Hydride

open access: yesMolecules, 2004
Substituted imidazolinones containing heterocyclic carboxylic acids as substituents and possessing herbicidal properties were synthesized by cyclization of 2-amino-2,3-dimethylbutyramide with heterocyclic ethyl dicarboxylates under mild conditions.

Selectivity of Imazapic + Imazapyr Herbicides on Irrigated Rice as Affected by Seed Treatment with Dietholate and Clomazone Applied in Preemergence [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2018
: The use of dietholate seed treatment, as well as the use of preemergence clomazone, can affect the selectivity of the imidazolinones chemical group of postemergence herbicides applied in crops Clearfield™.

Glucose‐Modified Viscosity‐Responsive Turn‐On Fluorescence Molecular Rotors for Wash‐Free Live‐Cell Imaging

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 10, 27 May 2026.
We developed fluorescent molecular rotors (FMRs) that respond sensitively to intracellular viscosity. Based on the dye scaffold of GFP, we systematically investigated molecular rigidity and surface area, and discovered FMRs with remarkably high viscosity sensitivity.

Absolute quantification of fluorescent protein fusions by mass spectrometry

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Fusions with fluorescent proteins (FPs) play a pivotal role in experimental biology because of their sensitive and spatially precise visualization by spectroscopy. However, observed fluorescence is not always proportional to their molar concentration.

Activity of Antioxidant Enzymes in Euphorbia heterophylla Biotypes and their Relation to Cross Resistance to ALS and Protox Inhibitors [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2018
: The characteristics of multiple resistance in Euphorbia heterophylla biotypes to herbicides that are inhibitors of ALS (Acetolactate synthase) and PPO (Protoporphyrinogen oxidase) and their responsible mechanisms are still not completely elucidated ...
