Immediate implant loading: A case report

open access: yesThe Journal of Indian Prosthodontic Society, 2010
Dental implants have long provided an excellent treatment option to restore edentulous spaces. Successful formation of a direct bone to implant interface is the goal in implant therapy. Immediate loading is an alternative to two stage surgical procedure.

Computer-assisted, template-guided immediate implant placement and loading in the mandible : a case report [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Background: Computer-assisted implant planning has become an important diagnostic and therapeutic tool in modern dentistry. This case report emphasizes the possibilities in modern implantology combining virtual implant planning, guided surgery with tooth

Stress behavior of an anterior single implant restored with high performance polymer abutments under immediate and delayed loading: A 3D FEA study. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
PURPOSE To evaluate the stress generated on peripheral bone, implant, and prosthetic components while using polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) hybrid abutments in two different loading situations with nonlinear 3D finite ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Assessment of ridge preservation with immediate implant placement using socket shield versus guided bone regeneration techniques in aesthetic zone (a randomized clinical trial) [PDF]

open access: yesAlexandria Dental Journal
Background: The socket shield technique was created to protect periodontal ligament-related perfusion following tooth extraction to prevent alveolar bone resorption, which occurs as a result of a lack of blood flow caused by the loss of periodontal ...

EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF THE HIGH INSERTION TORQUE ON THE IMMEDIATELY LOADED DENTAL IMPLANTS (CLINICAL & RADIOGRAPHIC STUDY) [PDF]

open access: yesAlexandria Dental Journal, 2015
Introduction: The ideal insertion torque values for placing dental implants to be immediately loaded is unknown, therefore it may be useful to evaluate the effect of insertion torque values on immediately loaded dental implants.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.
