Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is a highly valued medicinal and culinary crop. However, conventional propagation using rhizomes is limited. This study aimed to optimize immersion conditions for the large-scale micropropagation of Z.

The relative frequency of immersion of rye grains in liquid [PDF]
Abstract The grain heap of rye, in addition to high-grade grain, contains weeds and harmful impurities. Poisonous ergot sclerotia are harmful impurities. Modern grain cleaning machines do not provide the allocation of ergot sclerotia in one technological process by air flow and on sieves.

A Frequency Function and Singular Set Bounds for Branched Minimal Immersions [PDF]
AbstractWe establish a frequency function monotonicity formula for two‐valued C1,α solutions to the minimal surface system on n‐dimensional domains. We also establish the sharp regularity result that such solutions are of class C1, 1/2, and that their branch sets, if nonempty, have Hausdorff dimension equal to n‐2.© 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Frequency response of a microcantilever immersed in a fluid
Abstract The micromechanical systems include devices and technology such as actuators and electronic elements on a micrometric scale. A key piece in the development of these systems are the micro cantilevers, which mechanical and dynamic features allow to design sensors and actuators, among others.

Frequency-Tunable Terahertz Plasmonic Structure Based on the Solid Immersed Method for Sensing [PDF]
Terahertz waves are located in the frequency band between radio waves and light, and they are being considered for various applications as a light source. Generally, the use of light requires focusing; however, when a terahertz wave is irradiated onto a small detector or a small measurement sample, its wavelength, which is much longer than that of ...

Low-frequency dielectric response of charged oblate spheroidal particles immersed in an electrolyte [PDF]
We study the low-frequency polarization response of a surface-charged oblate spheroidal particle immersed in an electrolyte solution. Because the charged spheroid attracts counter-ions which form the electric double layer around the particle, using usual boundary conditions at the interface between the particle and electrolyte can be quite complicated ...

Fixed frequency eigenfunction immersions and supremum norms of random waves
A compact Riemannian manifold may be immersed into Euclidean space by using high frequency Laplace eigenfunctions. We study the geometry of the manifold viewed as a metric space endowed with the distance function from the ambient Euclidean space. As an application we give a new proof of a result of Burq-Lebeau and others on upper bounds for the sup ...
