Abstract The estimation of the time of immersion is a common problem in forensic medicine. In addition to several rules of thumb, which give only a rough estimation of the time of immersion, a table for estimating the minimum time interval of immersion was published in Germany about 40 years ago.

Internal relaxation time in immersed particulate materials [PDF]
We study the dynamics of the solid to liquid transition for a model material made of elastic particles immersed in a viscous fluid. The interaction between particle surfaces includes their viscous lubrication, a sharp repulsion when they get closer than a tuned steric length and their elastic deflection induced by those two forces. We use Soft Dynamics

Empirical propagation laws of intergranular corrosion defects affecting 2024 T351 alloy in chloride solutions [PDF]
In the present work, a first attempt was made to determine propagation laws of intergranular corrosion defects for Al 2024 T351 in various NaCl solutions as a first step for future predictive modeling of 2024 alloy.

Time-dependent solution for a star immersed in a background radiation [PDF]
We study a time-dependent and spherically symmetric solution with a starlike source. We show that this solution can be interpreted as an exterior solution of a contracting star which has a decreasing temperature and is immersed in a homogenous and isotropic background radiation.

Time dependence of immersion freezing [PDF]
Abstract. The time dependence of immersion freezing was studied for temperatures between 236 K and 243 K. Droplets with single immersed, size-selected 400 nm and 800 nm kaolinite particles were produced at 300 K, cooled down to supercooled temperatures typical for mixed-phase cloud conditions, and the fraction of frozen droplets with increasing ...

Corrosion Resistance of Passive Film Formed on TA10 Dental Implant in Simulated Body Fluid
The passive behavior of TA10 dental implant was systematacially studied by measuring open circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and Mott-Schottky (MS) curves in simulated body fluid (SBF) for ...

Motion-in-depth effects on interceptive timing errors in an immersive environment [PDF]
AbstractWe often need to interact with targets that move along arbitrary trajectories in the 3D scene. In these situations, information of parameters like speed, time-to-contact, or motion direction is required to solve a broad class of timing tasks (e.g., shooting, or interception).
