Fluorescent Polymeric Nanofibers as Ratiometric Multiplexed Skin Sensors of pH and Oxygen

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorescent polymeric nanofibers and nanorods are produced as ratiometric sensors of two important physiological parameters: pH and oxygen. They operate by dual Forster resonance energy transfer from large number of energy donor dyes to limited number of two distinct energy acceptors, enabling simultaneous sensing of pH and oxygen.

Immobilization of Rhizomucor miehei Lipase on High Density Polyethylene [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2004
Immobilization of Lipase produced from Rhizomucor miehei on HDPE fine powder was investigated. As compared to an aqueous system, immobilization in a non-aquous organic medium such as n-hexane was not successful and caused enzyme denaturation.

A Heparin‐Functionalized Scaffold with HB‐EGF Immobilization for Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, a heparin‐functionalized scaffold is designed for bio‐mimicking growth factors reservoir function of extracellular matrix. Due to the presence of heparin‐binding domain, heparin‐binding epidermal growth factor‐like growth factor (HB‐EGF) is effectively and spatially captured by heparin‐functionalized scaffold.

The kinetics of phenol degradation by immobilized pseudomonas sp in a repeated-batch process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The best operating conditions for phenol degradation by immobilized Pseudomonas sp in packed column were determined, and then evaluated in repeated batch cultures. The maximum degradation rate occurred in i) the support with 1.0 cm diameter or less, ii)

Injectable Dual‐Crosslinked Poly(oligo(Ethylene Glycol) Methacrylate) Hydrogels Inspired by Mussel Adhesion for Cutaneous Wound Healing and Functional Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Injectable POEGMA‐DA hydrogels, dual‐crosslinked via dopamine self‐polymerization and dynamic hydrazone bonds, provide a safer alternative to invasive wound closure methods and toxic bioadhesives. Mimicking skin‐like mechanics, they achieve effective tissue adhesion for acute dermal wounds, supporting improved healing outcomes, including reducing ...

Immobilization of Naringinase by Sodium Alginate/Polyethyleneimine/Epoxy Silane Composite Aerogel

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
To improve the stability of naringinase, a novel sodium alginate/polyethyleneimine/epoxy silane composite aerogel (SKP) was prepared in this study for the immobilization of naringinase.
