Duration of Passive Immunity Part IV [PDF]
1. There is some evidence that an injection of 0·00001 c.c. of horse serum causes an appreciable degree of active immunity to horse serum in rabbits.2. Rabbits actively immune to horse serum receiving a series of injections of antitoxic horse serum at intervals of three to ten weeks eliminated the antitoxin at rapidly increasing rates.3. An intravenous

On the basis of RT‐qPCR results, 549 oropharyngeal swabs were classified into four groups: MP‐positive (n = 109), MP‐negative (n = 160), RSV‐positive (n = 122), and RSV‐negative (n = 158). Using these as the reference standard, we evaluated a molecular point‐of‐care testing (mPOCT) system (EasyNAT) for simultaneous MP and RSV detection.

ABSTRACT Hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN) remains a significant concern in prenatal care primarily caused by maternal alloimmunization against fetal red blood cell antigens, most commonly the D antigen. Noninvasive fetal RHD genotyping, used as a screening tool, enables targeted antenatal prophylaxis and has been implemented in several

ABSTRACT Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a severe form of dementia, which occurrence increases with age and lifestyle conditions. It is characterized by amyloid protein accumulation forming senile plaques, hyperphosphorylated tau protein forming neurofibrillary tangles, neuroinflammation, and oxidative stress, leading to synapse loss and cell death ...

Abstract Background Updated targets for measuring transfer of passive immunity (TPI) at the herd level have been suggested, but the current performance of dairy herds in Great Britain is unknown. Methods A cross‐sectional study was performed. Serum total protein (STP) data collected between October 2022 and October 2023 by 21 veterinary practices were ...
