Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma Amongst Solid Organ Transplant Recipients: A Systematic Review of Molecular Alterations

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background As solid organ transplantation becomes more prevalent, more patients are living on long‐term immunosuppression, greatly increasing the risk of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC). Although significant improvements have been achieved in the treatment of cSCC, further studies are needed to identify the specific protein expression

Circ_0006174 Drives Triple Negative Breast Cancer Progression and Immune Escape Through Regulating miR‐3139/PD‐L1 Axis

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) is characterized as an aggressive malignancy with limited therapeutic options. The circular RNA circ_0006174 has been implicated in oncogenic processes across various cancers; however, its specific role in the pathogenesis of TNBC remains unclear.

Hyalohyphomycosis (Fusariosis): Atypical presentation in an immunocompetent individual responding to itraconazole

open access: yesIndian Dermatology Online Journal
Hyalohyphomycosis includes infections caused by various fungal species that produce hyaline, septate, branched hyphae. Fusarium is one such species which usually causes multiple papulo-nodules, ecthyma gangrenosum-like ulcers in immunocompromised ...

Disease Progression Mathematical Modeling With a Case Study on Hepatitis B Virus Infection

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 420-434, March 2025.
ABSTRACT Chronic Hepatitis B presents a significant health and socioeconomic burden. The risk of hepatocellular carcinoma remains elevated although treatments are available. Achieving an optimal treatment regimen necessitates a deep comprehension of the dynamic relationship between the virus and its host across disease states.

Miliary Tuberculosis in an Immunocompetent Patient Presenting with Tuberculous Meningoencephalitis Complicated by Hydrocephalus and Seizures

open access: yesJournal of Global Infectious Diseases
Miliary tuberculosis (MTB) is a disseminated form of tuberculosis (TB) arising from the lymphohematogenous dissemination of Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacilli followed by millet seed-sized tuberculous foci.

Deciphering diverse cell‐death patterns to predict the prognosis and potential therapy target of hepatocellular carcinoma patients

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Abstract Ninety percent of all primary liver malignancies are hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC), making liver cancer the third most common cause of cancer‐associated mortality. Different patterns of programmed cell death (PCD) are crucial for the survival of tumors, and they might serve as a prognostic marker for HCC.

Nanobody–chlorin e6 conjugate for Nectin‐4‐mediated tumor targeting and enhanced photodynamic therapy

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Nectin‐4 is frequently overexpressed in solid tumors, yet many PDT photosensitizers show poor water solubility and nonspecific uptake. A Nectin‐4‐targeted nanobody–chlorin e6 conjugate (NPC) improves aqueous solubility and selectively accumulates in Nectin‐4‐positive tumor cells.

Exploring the impact of microbial dysbiosis on ovarian cancer and the therapeutic potential of probiotics

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Ovarian cancer has been linked to the microbiome as a potential environmental contributor, but how this association relates to tumor progression remains unclear. By comparing tumor and nontumor tissues, we identified a severity‐associated microbial and metabolic signature and showed that probiotics can partially restore immune balance and slow tumor ...
