Autoimmune Encephalitis in Acute Care—Pathology, Diagnosis, and Management
ABSTRACT Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) is characterized by immune‐mediated inflammation of the brain parenchyma, presenting with various neurological syndromes, including but not limited to seizures, altered consciousness, neuropsychiatric symptoms, and movement disorders.

This study identifies palmitoylation as a novel regulatory modification of SMAD4, mediated by ZDHHC22/APT2. It activates fatty acid synthesis, creating a self‐reinforcing SMAD4–FASN–palmitate feedback loop that drives pancreatic cancer growth and enhances radiotherapy sensitivity.

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors frequently silence MEN1 through epigenetic mechanisms. Here, SIRT7 recruits DNMT1 to the MEN1 promoter, drives hypermethylation, and enhances DNA repair. Inhibiting SIRT7 restores MEN1, reduces MRN complex abundance, impairs double‐strand break repair, and sensitizes PanNET models to radiation, supporting SIRT7 as a ...

IMMUNOGLOBULIN E IN BRONCHIOLITIS
Pediatrics, 1972Serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) was measured by double antibody radioimmunoassay in 32 children with bronchiolitis and 30 age-matched control subjects. Bronchiolitis in 15 patients (Vermont group) was associated with a respiratory syncytial (RS) virus epidemic. Bronchiolitis occurred sporadically (nonepidemic) in 17 patients from Baltimore.

Immunoglobulin E in Coccidioidomycosis
The Journal of Immunology, 1979Abstract Serum immunoglobulin (Ig) levels of M, G, A, and E were quantitatively measured in 22 patients with active coccidioidomycosis (Group I), 15 patients in clinical remission (Group II), 15 healthy, coccidioidin (CDN) skin-test positive persons (Group III), and 26 healthy, CDN skin-test negative persons (Group IV).

Immunoglobulin E in the Monkey
The Journal of Immunology, 1969Abstract An immunoglobulin reacting with anti-human γE antibodies was detected in the sera of monkeys immunized with Ascaris antigen or infested with parasitic mites. The monkey protein gave a precipitin band with antiserum specific for the Fc portion of human γE, but failed to react with any of the antisera specific for the other human ...

Canine IgE discovery and characterization historically closely paralleled that of human IgE. The reason for this would seem to be the early recognition of the spontaneous manifestation of allergic diseases in dogs that are nearly identical to human allergic diseases.

The recognition of homocytotropic antibodies and their occurrence in response to parasite infection preceded the recognition of IgE as a distinct antibody isotype in the bovine species. Passive cutaneous anaphylaxis was an early reliable and antigen specific method to detect IgE in bovine serum.

Dermographia mediated by immunoglobulin E
The American Journal of Medicine, 1973Abstract We have investigated the component in the serum of two patients with dermographia that sensitized normal skin for a wheal-flare response to scratching. Passively sensitized skin sites were more reactive six to eight hours than 1 hour after injection and sometimes remained sensitized for 10 days.
