Long‐Term Safety and Efficacy of Mepolizumab in Eosinophilic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis
Arthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.Objectives
Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a rare, relapsing, inflammatory disease. Management of EGPA predominantly relies on oral corticosteroids (OCS), which are associated with many adverse effects. The Phase III MIRRA trial demonstrated efficacy and safety of mepolizumab, anti‐interleukin‐5 biologic, for EGPA.Michael E Wechsler, Jared Silver, Gerhard Wolff, Robert G Price, Rejina Verghis, Peter F Weller, Peter A Merkel, Paneez Khoury, on behalf of the EGPA Mepolizumab Open‐Label Extension study group, Arnaud Bourdin, Pascal Chanez, Anoop Chauhan, Vincent Cottin, Gerald Gleich, Berhnard Hellmich, Tomonori Ishii, David Jayne, Jean‐Emmanuel Kahn, Peter Kern, Nader Khalidi, Ina Koetter, Carol Langford, Amy Markezich, Paul Monach, Shamsa Naveed, Peter Oelzner, Kenneth Pinna, Xavier Puechal, Emory H Robinette, Florence Roufosse, Reinhard Voll, Andrew Schafer, Kaharu Sumino, Masami Taniguchi, Phillip Lieberman +34 morewiley +1 more sourceAttacking the public health crisis of hepatocellular carcinoma at its roots
Hepatology, EarlyView., 2022 Abstract
As the third most common cause of cancer‐related death worldwide with significant mortality rates in the United States, hepatocellular carcinoma has strong association with cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) with a growing at‐risk population from the rise in chronic liver disease from alcohol use and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.Hannah M. Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView. Objective
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a connective tissue disease with fibrotic remodeling of the skin and various internal organs. SSc is associated with the highest case‐specific mortality of all rheumatic autoimmune diseases with limited antifibrotic treatment options.Thuong Trinh‐Minh, Cuong Tran‐Manh, Andrea‐Hermina Györfi, Nicholas Dickel, Christoph Liebel, Xiang Zhou, Jiucun Wang, Meik Kunz, Helena Arozenius, Lars Pettersson, Sam Lindgren, Christina Wenglén, Jörg H. Hepatology, EarlyView., 2022 Abstract
The syndemic of hazardous alcohol consumption, opioid use, and obesity has led to important changes in liver disease epidemiology that have exacerbated health disparities. Health disparities occur when plausibly avoidable health differences are experienced by socially disadvantaged populations.Ani Kardashian, Marina Serper, Norah Terrault, Lauren D.
