Characterisation and detection of dasheen mosaic potyvirus in Zantedeschia : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Horticultural Science in Plant Health at Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Four potyvirus isolates believed to be dasheen mosaic potyvirus, the most frequently occurring virus to infect members of the Araceae, were obtained from Caladium, Colocasia, Xanthosoma and Zantedeschia in world-wide locations.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Ultrasensitive detection of proteins and sugars at single-cell level

open access: yesCommunicative & Integrative Biology, 2016
Each cell produces its own responses even if it appears identical to other cells. To analyze these individual cell characteristics, we need to measure trace amounts of molecules in a single cell.

Trends in Paper-Based Sensing Devices for Clinical and Environmental Monitoring

open access: yesBiosensors, 2023
Environmental toxic pollutants and pathogens that enter the ecosystem are major global issues. Detection of these toxic chemicals/pollutants and the diagnosis of a disease is a first step in efficiently controlling their contamination and spread ...

Generation of virus-specific cytotoxic T cells in vitro II. Induction requirements with functionally inactivated virus preparations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Using noninfectious Sendai virus preparations after selective enzymatic digestion of either of the two viral envelope glycoproteins, it was possible to study the effect of different virion-cell membrane interactions on virus-specific cytotoxic T ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Investigation of Anaplasma marginale Seroprevalence in a Traditionally Managed Large California Beef Herd. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Recent observations by stakeholders suggested that ecosystem changes may be driving an increased incidence of bovine erythrocytic anaplasmosis, resulting in a reemerging cattle disease in California.

Decreased Serum 5‐HT: Clinical Correlates and Regulatory Role in NMJ of MG

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Although 5‐Hydroxytryptamine (5‐HT) indirectly stimulates muscle contraction and participates in regulating Acetylcholine receptor (AChR) cluster homeostasis in cellular, animal, and clinical studies, evidence regarding its potential to modulate muscle contraction in myasthenia gravis (MG) remains limited.

Production of a recombinant capsid protein VP1 from a newly described polyomavirus (RacPyV) for downstream use in virus characterization

open access: yesData in Brief, 2016
Here we describe the methods for production of a recombinant viral capsid protein and subsequent use in an indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and for use in production of a rabbit polyclonal antibody.
