Adaptive weighting impact angle optimal guidance law considering seeker’s FOV angle constraints

open access: yesJournal of Systems Engineering and Electronics, 2018
In this paper, a new adaptive optimal guidance law with impact angle and seeker's field-of-view (FOV) angle constraints is proposed. To this end, the generalized optimal guidance law is derived first. A changeable impact angle weighting (IAW) coefficient is introduced and used to modify the guidance law to make it adaptive for all guidance constraints.

ALS With and Without Upper Motor Neuron Signs: A Comparative Study Supporting the Gold Coast Criteria

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The Gold Coast criteria permit diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) even without upper motor neuron (UMN) signs. However, whether ALS patients with UMN signs (ALSwUMN) and those without (ALSwoUMN) share similar characteristics and prognoses remains unclear.

Optimal Look-Angle Guidance with Field-of-View and Impact Angle Constraints for Strapdown Munition

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2022
A strapdown seeker with limited field-of-view (FOV) can simplify and decrease cost of the guidance system for a munition. However, the inherent defect of the strapdown seeker is that it could not provide the necessary line-of-sight (LOS) angular ...

Variable angle electron-impact excitation of nitromethane [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 1980
The electron-impact excitation of nitromethane has been studied at incident electron energies of 25, 55, and 90 eV, at scattering angles from 6° to 80°. The lowest-lying inelastic process which is observed is a previously unreported feature with a maximum intensity at 3.8 eV energy loss.

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Variation in multiring basic structures as a function of impact angle [PDF]

open access: yes
Previous studies have demonstrated that the impact process in the laboratory varies as a function of impact angle. This variation is attributed to changes in energy partitioning and projectile failure during the impact and, in simple craters, produces a ...

A global fit to determine the pseudoscalar mixing angle and the gluonium content of the eta' meson

open access: yes, 2009
We update the values of the eta-eta' mixing angle and of the eta' gluonium content by fitting our measurement R_phi = BR(phi to eta' gamma)/ BR(phi to eta gamma) together with several vector meson radiative decays to pseudoscalars (V to P gamma ...

Structure–Function Decoupling of the Sensorimotor and Default Mode Networks in Black Americans With MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Multiple sclerosis (MS) exhibits racially disparate rates of disease progression. Black people with MS (B‐PwMS) experience a more severe disease course than non‐Hispanic White people with MS (NHW‐PwMS). Here we investigated structural and functional connectivity as well as structure–function decoupling in the ...
