Four point function of R-currents in N=4 SYM in the Regge limit at weak coupling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We compute, in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory, the four point correlation function of R-currents in the Regge limit in the leading logarithmic approximation at weak coupling.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Electron-impact rotational excitation of symetric-top molecular ions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We present electron-impact rotational excitation calculations for polyatomic molecular ions. The theory developed in this paper is an extension of the work of Rabadán et al (Rabadán I, Sarpal B K and Tennyson J 1998 J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Opt. Phys.

Hadronic Corrections at O(alpha^2) to the Energy Spectrum of Muon Decay

open access: yes, 2000
We consider the impact of O(alpha^2) hadronic corrections to the energy spectrum of the decay electron in muon decay. We find that the correction can be described, within good approximation, by a linear function in the electron energy.

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

The Frozen Core Approximation and Nuclear Screening Effects in Single Electron Capture Collisions

open access: yes, 2019
Fully Differential Cross Sections (FDCS) for single electron capture from helium by heavy ion impact are calculated using a frozen core 3-Body model and an active electron 4-Body model within the first Born approximation. FDCS are presented for H+, He2+,

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

In-medium Yang-Mills equations: a derivation and canonical quantization

open access: yes, 2003
The equations for Yang-Mills field in a medium are derived in a linear approximation with respect to the gauge coupling parameter and the external field. The obtained equations closely resemble the macroscopic Maxwell equations.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Non-perturbative bottom PDF and its possible impact on new physics searches

open access: yes, 2015
Heavy quark parton distribution functions (PDFs) play an important role in several Standard Model and New Physics processes. Most PDF analyses rely on the assumption that the charm and bottom PDFs are generated perturbatively by gluon splitting and do ...
