Fouling Detection based on Vibration Analysis with the Hammer Impact Test
2007 IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Technology Conference IMTC 2007, 2007Fouling detection is a persistent and relevant problem for the chemical, oil, food and pharmaceutical industries. The fouling process is the slow, unwanted layer deposition of heavy organic and other dissolved solid material out of transported fluids or suspensions onto inner wall surfaces in fluid transport system over an extended period of time. Unbiased expression of FRF with exponential window function in impact hammer testing
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2004Abstract The exponential window function is widely used in impact hammer testing to reduce leakage errors as well as to get a nice S/N ratio. The larger the exponential decay rate of the window is, the more effectively the leakage errors are reduced.

A NEW APPROACH TO IMPACT TESTING INSTRUMENTATION USING AN ELECTRONIC SLAVE HAMMER
Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 1997Abstract An electronic slave hammer is used to improve the performance of impact testing. The electronic programmer as well as the power electronic circuits are presented. The geometry of the piston tip of the hammer and on duration of contact between the tip and the structure is discussed.

Cracking Assessment of Reinforced Concrete Slab Using Impact Hammer Test
Journal of Structural Monitoring and Built EnvironmentImpact hammer test is a vibration-based monitoring method used to detect cracking or damage in concrete structures by observing the vibration behavior such as the natural frequency, mode shapes and damping ratio. Damage or cracks in the structure can cause structure failure.

Hot Spot Formation in Mock Materials in Impact Sensitivity Testing by Drop Hammer
Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, 2017AbstractPowder and granulated sugars were exposed to the drop hammer impact test configured with 120‐ and 180‐grit Si/C sandpapers. The sugars were selected as mock materials for HMX (Octahydro‐1,3,5,7‐tetranitro‐1,3,5,7‐tetrazocine). The drop heights ranged from 24.2 to 40.7 cm.

Design of the angle hammers impact test system of the automobile fuel tank
2009 International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation, 2009This paper introduces the design method of the angle hammers impact test system of the automobile fuel tank in detail. We have discovered the appropriate algorithm and have achieved the request precision through the computation of the data. We used the single chip of ATmega8 and a series of electronic elements to complete the control of the impact test

Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) on a lightweight material has proven to be very challenging in the recent past. The applications of these materials have increased invariably in various fields and so have a high demand for Research & Development (R&D). A lightweight material is very sensitive in terms of vibration.
