Adaptive Sliding Mode Guidance With Impact Time and Angle Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Based on adaptive sliding mode control method, this paper considers the interception problem to deal with both impact time and angle constraints. The stability and convergence characteristic of proposed guidance law are analyzed.

Research on Cooperative Guidance Law of Multi-Missile Based on Trajectory Super-Real Time Simulation [PDF]

open access: yesHangkong bingqi, 2021
It is very difficult to conduct time cooperation guidance of multi-missile when the velocity of missile is uncontrollable. Based on the trajectory super real-time simulation method, which can gives out time-to-go exactly as well as future trajectory ...

Evaluating Impact Using Time-Series Data [PDF]

open access: yesTrends in Ecology & Evolution, 2021
Humanity's impact on the environment is increasing, as are strategies to conserve biodiversity, but a lack of understanding about how interventions affect ecological and conservation outcomes hampers decision-making. Time series are often used to assess impacts, but ecologists tend to compare average values from before to after an impact; overlooking ...

A Novel Low-Cost Machine for Evaluating Helmet Performance in Bike Accident Scenarios

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings, 2023
The increasing mortality rate in bike-related road accidents due to head injuries necessitates stronger helmets. This paper presents a cost-effective machine setup to evaluate helmet behavior during impacts.

Time Matters: How Default Resolution Times Impact Final Loss Rates [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C: Applied Statistics, 2021
Abstract Using access to a unique bank loss database, we find positive dependencies of default resolution times (DRTs) of defaulted bank loan contracts and final loan loss rates (losses given default, LGDs). Due to this interconnection, LGD predictions made at the time of default and during resolution are subject to censoring.

Bezier-curve Navigation Guidance for Impact Time and Angle Control [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2018
This paper addresses a novel impact time and angle control guidance law using a Bézier curve. The 2nd order Bézier curve consists of one control point and two boundary points; initial point P0, middle point P1 and end point P2.

Multi-Constrained Geometric Guidance Law with a Data-Driven Method

open access: yesDrones, 2023
A data-driven geometric guidance method is proposed for the multi-constrained guidance problem of variable-velocity unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Firstly, a two-phase flight trajectory based on a log-aesthetic space curve (LASC) is designed.

Experimental Study on the Impact Resistance of Steel Fiber Reinforced All-Lightweight Concrete Beams under Single and Hybrid Mixing Conditions

open access: yesBuildings, 2023
An impact action can cause local, or even overall, damage to structural components. This paper investigates the effect of flat and wavy steel fibers on the mechanical impact resistance of all-lightweight concrete beams under single and mixed conditions ...

Time Series Impact Through Topic Modeling

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
A time-series of numerical data and a sequence of time-ordered documents are often correlated. This paper aims at modeling the impact that the underlying themes discussed in the text data have on the time series.
