Dental Microwear Texture Analysis on Radular Teeth

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
3D microwear textures reveal how gastropod radular teeth respond to controlled abrasive contact. Distinct surface signatures distinguish regular abrasion from fracture‐dominated material removal, showing how mineralized coatings, fibrous cores, and substrate properties jointly shape wear and failure in a biological scraping interface.

Pattern of impacted teeth among patients at MNH

open access: yesJournal of Craniomaxillofacial Research, 2022
Introduction: An impacted tooth is the one which fails to attain its normal functional position within the expected developmental period. They are associated with various pathologies.

From Rigid to Soft Robotic Approaches for Neuroendoscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Robotic assistance has had minimal impact on deep intraventricular surgeries, where small‐scale, precision, and reduced invasiveness can contribute to improved patient outcomes. Emerging technologies in rigid, soft, and hybrid robotics are reviewed to identify the most promising mechanisms for deep brain navigation in addition to an attempt to identify

Comprehensive orthodontic treatment of impacted teeth

open access: yes口腔疾病防治, 2023
Impacted teeth are a kind of complex malocclusion, and their incidence differs among different races, sexes and dental positions. The causes of impacted teeth include systemic factors and local factors, such as endocrine disorders, malnutrition, and ...

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.

Multiscale Coupling From Mastication to Retronasal Aroma Perception: The PG‐DTCFN Model and Multiphysics Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using grilled lamb skewers as a model system, this work builds a multiscale coupling framework from oral processing to retronasal aroma perception, reveals dual‐kinetic release patterns and Electroencephalogram‐characterized central encoding features, and proposes an interpretable physics‐guided deep learning model validated by multiphysics simulation,

Comparative Study of Dentascan and Radiography for Radiological Evaluation of Impacted Teeth [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2014
Introduction: Impacted teeth present a very common problem in dentistry due to the variable numbers of problems they cause. They have previously been imaged by radiography which is very inaccurate.

QRICH1 Disrupts Endoplasmic Reticulum Homeostasis and Amplifies NF‐κB Signaling in Periodontal Ligament Stem Cells to Exacerbate Diabetic Periodontitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
QRICH1 has been established as a key factor contributing to impaired osteogenic potential and accelerated apoptosis of PDLSCs in diabetic periodontitis. QRICH1 not only significantly enhances UPR‐associated apoptotic signaling but also amplifies NF‐κB‐mediated inflammatory responses. Its inhibition restores osteogenic capacity and reduces alveolar bone

Treatment options for pericoronitis in dental practice

open access: yesFogorvosi Szemle
Pericoronitis is an intraoral soft tissue infection most commonly associated with impacted teeth. The most frequently impacted teeth are lower third molars. Definitive treatment of the disease usually involves removing the affected tooth.

Human Dental Pulp Stem Cell Secretome Restores Ischemic Stroke–Impaired Motor and Cognitive Functions by Reprogramming Redox and Inflammatory Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human dental pulp stem cell secretome emerges as a cell‐free therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke by reprogramming redox and inflammatory signaling. hDPSC secretome‐derived antioxidant and immunomodulatory factors suppress the TLR4–NOX–ROS–NF‐κB axis, reduce microglial inflammatory responses and apoptosis, and promote neurogenesis, angiogenesis ...
