Bandwidth Enhancement of Dual Band Impedance Transformer with Transmission Zero

2018 9th International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies (ICCCNT), 2018
A dual band planar impedance matching network using a compact quarter wave transformer with wideband characteristics is presented. The quarter wave section can be realized as a cascade of $\boldsymbol{T}$ networks. The degree of compactness and bandwidth enhancement depends upon the number of stages used to implement the quarter wave section.

Composite Learning Enhanced Robot Impedance Control

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, 2020
The desired impedance dynamics can be achieved for a robot if and only if an impedance error converges to zero or a small neighborhood of zero. Although the convergence of impedance errors is important, it is seldom obtained in the existing impedance controllers due to robots modeling uncertainties and external disturbances.

Environment estimation for enhanced impedance control

Proceedings of 1995 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
Impedance control is a popular method of controlling the dynamic response a robot has to external forces. The advantage of such a control paradigm is the ability to manipulate in both unconstrained and constrained environments. Unlike hybrid control methods that attempt to control forces and motions in orthogonal directions, impedance control consists ...

Bridge-enhanced nanoscale impedance microscopy

Applied Physics Letters, 2005
A conductive atomic force microscopy (cAFM) technique has been developed that is capable of quantitatively measuring the magnitude and phase of alternating current flow through the tip/sample junction with a five order of magnitude improvement in sensitivity.

Faradaic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy for enhanced analyte detection in diagnostics

Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2021
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a widely implementable technique that can be applied to many fields, ranging from disease detection to environmental monitoring. EIS as a biosensing tool allows detection of a broad range of target analytes in point-of-care (POC) and continuous applications.

Performance enhancement of an induction motor by secondary impedance control

IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2002
This paper demonstrates the use of nonresistive secondary control of an induction motor to improve efficiency, power factor, and torque. A mathematical algorithm is presented to predict the control requirements in terms of secondary capacitance. The required secondary capacitance is implemented by a novel electronic switching technique that effectively
