Grid impedance identification considering the influence of coupling impedances

2010 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2010
In this paper the identification of grid connection points is analyzed. These points, also referred to as PCCs (Points of Common Coupling), are used to connect electrical equipment to the grid. The method described in this paper allows to set up a mathematical model for any PCC that reflects its behavior.

Impedance localization and identification

2020
The beam coupling impedance represents one of the sources of potential beam instabilities in particle accelerators. The localization of large coupling impedance sources is therefore very important in order to focus the efforts for mitigation measures when these are needed.

Contact impedance adaptation via environment identification

2008 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2008
In this paper we present the results of an approach for identifying the environment using Bayesian inference methods. Using this information, the contact properties between a robotic manipulator and a particular scenario are regulated by means of an impedance controller that adapts to the identified environment. Off-line, the robot records sensory data
