The Proton Synchrotron Transverse impedance model

2014
The current knowledge of the transverse impedance of the CERN Proton Synchrotron (PS) has been established by theoretical computations, electromagnetic simulations and beam-based measurements at different energies. The transverse coherent tune and phase advance shifts as a function of intensity have been measured in order to evaluate the total ...

Impedance modelling of pipes

European Journal of Physics, 2015
Impedance models of pipes can be used to estimate resonant frequencies of standing waves and model acoustic pressure of closed and open ended pipes. Modelling a pipe with impedance methods allows additional variations to the pipe to be included in the overall model as a system.

Impedance magnetocardiography: Experiments and modeling

Journal of Applied Physics, 2004
We report on impedance magnetocardiography studies using high-Tc superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometers in a partially shielded environment. The SQUID detects magnetic-field variations due to impedance changes in the thorax at 15kHz.

Assessing nonlinearity in impedance models

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, 1995
Abstract A procedure for assessing nonlinearity in impedance or admittance models which is based on modern nonlinear regression analysis is described. The nonlinearity of a model can be separated into two components: (1) “intrinsic” nonlinearity and (2) “parametric” nonlinearity.

Impedance boundary modelling

2000
Although the perfectly conducting ground model is adequate for many applications, it is not universally applicable. A more accurate model is required for surface wave propagation, for correct modelling of reflection effects at vertical polarization or for the modelling of propagation over rough surfaces.

(Keynote) Modeling of Impedance

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2016
Sophisticated models exist for many electrochemical systems, based on physical and chemical laws.  These may be transient or steady.  They generally involve many physical quantities, and a corresponding number of governing equations, distributed over a spatial region.

Flexible humidity sensors impedance modeling

Photonics Applications in Astronomy, Communications, Industry, and High-Energy Physics Experiments 2018, 2018
This paper presents flexible humidity sorption sensors, its construction and impedance measurement results. Based on the obtained results and models applied to various humidity sensors, a model with two resistors and two constant phase elements is chosen as the most appropriate. Fitting procedure is described and its results are presented.

Mapping the Impedance Spectrum of Montague Model of Skin Impedance

2018 4th International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT), 2018
Transdermal drug delivery is a non-invasive method of drug administration. However to achieve this, drug has to pass through the complicated structure of skin. Complex structure of skin can be modeled by electrical equivalent circuit to calculate its impedance which is frequency dependent.

Impedance Imaging and Electrode Models

1997
In this article, we consider the impedance imaging problem of estimating the unknown resistivity distribution in a body from a finite number of current-voltage measurements on the surface of the body. In practice, the current is injected into the body through electrodes attached on the surface, and usually the same electrodes are used for voltage ...
