This paper presents our work in the search for a realistic thorax impedance model that is suitable for the simulation of an impedance cardiography (ICG) signal model. The developed ICG signal model would be useful to evaluate the performance of e.g. algorithms for the separation of cardiac and respiratory signals. Five different impedance models of the

The Impedance of Curved Artery Models
Journal of Biomechanical Engineering, 1983The impedance (pressure drop/flow rate) of four curved artery models has been determined experimentally for steady and periodic flows simulating conditions in the aortic arch. Steady flow results indicate that very short entry lengths are required for flow development in curved artery models, and impedance is elevated above straight tube values by a ...

Modelling for Scanning Impedance Imaging
2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005Scanning electrical impedance imaging (SII) is a previously-introduced high resolution imaging modality with the potential of imaging the electrical activities of biological tissues. In this paper, a detailed complex electrostatic model is derived to describe the physical phenomena of the SII system.

Outdoor ground impedance models
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2011Many models for the acoustical properties of rigid-porous media require knowledge of parameter values that are not available for outdoor ground surfaces. The relationship used between tortuosity and porosity for stacked spheres results in five characteristic impedance models that require not more than two adjustable parameters.

Surface impedance models for high impedance surfaces
Applied Physics A, 2011Different analytical and numerical methods for calculating the surface impedance of a high impedance surface (HIS) structure have been studied and compared. In this article, two new approaches are proposed for calculating the surface impedance for general 2D-spatial periodic HIS structures, which include both the symmetric and asymmetric planar ...

Modeling of Subdiffusion Impedance in Multilayer Nanostructures
2021 11th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT), 2021Mathematical model of the subdiffusion impedance in multilayer nanostructures is considered on the basis of the Cattaneo-type diffusion equation in fractional derivatives. The Nyquist diagrams are calculated for different values of subdiffusion coefficient and time parameter (time for which the flow delays concerning the gradient of charge carriers ...

The bunch current in LEP is limited by collective effects slightly below its design value. To understand this limitation, a set of experiments has been carried out to obtain a model of the impedance seen by the circulating beam. From measurements of the current dependance of the synchrotron and betatron frequencies information about the longitudinal ...

The impedance fault model and design for robust impedance fault testability
1991 IEEE International Conference on Computer-Aided Design Digest of Technical Papers, 2002It is pointed out that advanced submicron CMOS processes result in failure mechanisms that tend to be increasingly analog in nature. They are not adequately covered by stuck-at, stuck-on, or stuck-open models. Furthermore, delay faults, spot defect models, and IDDQ approaches only cover restricted subsets of the dominant failure mechanisms.

The impedance budget for the eRHIC project is discussed at its earlier stage of development. As a first step, with the eRHIC lattice and beam parameters , we use the geometric impedances of the vacuum chamber components simulated for the NSLS-II project.
