Comparing Imperfection Ratio and Imperfection Index for Graph Classes [PDF]

open access: yesRAIRO - Operations Research, 2008
Summary: Perfect graphs constitute a well-studied graph class with a rich structure, reflected by many characterizations with respect to different concepts. Perfect graphs are, for instance, precisely those graphs \(G\) where the stable set polytope \(\text{STAB}(G)\) coincides with the fractional stable set polytope \(\text{QSTAB}(G)\).

On the method of calculation of buckling and post-buckling behavior of laminated shells with small arbitrary imperfections [PDF]

open access: yesActa Scientiarum Polonorum. Architectura, 2021
In the present paper the variant of computational methods of stability and initial post-buckling behavior of isotropic shells was generalized with respect to laminated composite shells. Using methods of the asymptotic analysis of the Timoshenko–Mindlin

Imperfections-as-Practice: Projects as Becoming Processes of Imperfections

open access: yesProject Management Journal, 2023
This article provides an alternative conceptualization of a project as a series of becoming processes of imperfections. Through a longitudinal ethnography of a Research and Innovation Project, our study uncovers that imperfections emerged as uncertainty, ambiguity, unknown, and emergence over time. These emerging imperfections enacted project managers

Parametric study on lateral resistance and evaluation of seismic response modification factor-R of strap-braced cold-formed steel shear walls [PDF]

open access: yesمجله مدل سازی در مهندسی, 2017
In this study, evaluation on lateral resistance and seismic response modification factor-R of strap-braced cold-formed steel shear walls is presented. Also, the results are compared with the prescibed values by the codes and standards.

Efficient handling of stability problems in shell optimization by asymmetric ‘worst-case’ shape imperfection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The paper presents an approach to shape optimization of proportionally loaded elastic shell structures under stability constraints. To reduce the stability-related problems, a special technique is utilized, by which the response analysis is always ...
