Iliopsoas-Impingement

Der Schmerz
Iliopsoas impingement refers to the painful contact between the iliopsoas tendon and the anterior acetabular rim of the hip joint. This mechanism can occur in the native hip as part of an internal snapping hip syndrome and, in particular, following total hip arthroplasty, leading to chronic groin pain and a substantial reduction in the quality of life.

Ischiofemoral impingement

The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. British volume, 2011
Femoroacetabular impingement is a well-documented cause of hip pain. There is, however, increasing evidence for the presence of a previously unrecognised impingement-type condition around the hip – ischiofemoral impingement. This is caused by abnormal contact between the lesser trochanter of the femur and the ischium, and presents as atypical groin ...

Shoulder Impingement Syndrome

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics of North America, 2023
Shoulder impingement is the most common diagnosis for shoulder pain. Shoulder impingement syndrome has been scrutinized as a misleading "umbrella" term, due to its vague and nonspecific context. It is better subcategorized into subacromial, internal, and subcoracoid impingement. The evaluation and treatment algorithm for each is grossly similar.

The Subcoracoid Impingement

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1990
Researchers must gather all anatomic and clinical information and evaluate the results of various imaging techniques and operative procedures if more is to be learned about anteromedial subcoracoid or coracohumeral impingement. Although the impingement syndrome constitutes an anatomic and clinical entity, more must be learned about the pathogenesis to ...

Secondary impingement in the shoulder

Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports, 2000
Non‐traumatic shoulder pain in the overhead athlete is a diagnostic challenge. In the last decade shoulder arthroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques have extended our knowledge. Previously unknown pathologic changes in the glenohumeral joint have been demonstrated and it is recognized that impingement symptoms and instability are ...

Assessment of Bony Subfibular Impingement in Flatfoot Patients Using Weight-Bearing CT Scans

Foot & ankle international, 2018
Background: Lateral hindfoot pain in patients with flatfoot deformity is frequently attributed to subfibular impingement. It remains unclear whether this is primarily due to bony or soft-tissue impingement. No studies have used weight-bearing CT scans to
