Submerged liquid jet impingement cooling
2011 IEEE 13th Electronics Packaging Technology Conference, 2011In this paper, submerged liquid jet array impingement is proposed as a solution for the thermal management of the high performance electronics. Experiments were done using a submerged jet array of 285 nozzles of 0.5 mm diameter spaced 5.5 mm apart, machined on a 5 mm thick nozzle plate, with an impingement height of 3 mm.

Spray Cooling Droplet Impingement Model
10th AIAA/ASME Joint Thermophysics and Heat Transfer Conference, 2010Spray Cooling is one of the leading techniques proposed for rejection of high heat flux levels necessary in future aircraft and spacecraft electronics and weapons packages. Experimental research and computational CFD require significant amounts of time to setup and execute to completion.

Cooling of Electronic Systems by Impinging Air Jets
1994Thermal performance is one of the most important criterion in the material and process selection for microelectronic packages. Thermal management is driven by integrated circuit scaling. So, forced-air cooling is not only way to get the heat out of electronics. In this paper, cooling of electronic components by impinging air jets is introduced.

Evaporative cooling of air in impinging streams
AIChE Journal, 1995AbstractAn experience study was conducted on evaporative cooling of air in an impinging‐stream reactor, in which two droplets gas streams flow in opposite directions and meet in the impingement zone. The air was cooler by evaporation of water droplets.
