Implant failure of the gamma nail
Injury, 1999The gamma nail is a temporary implant characterised by a limited life expectancy under continuous dynamic stress. We reviewed a series of 839 patients with gamma nail stabilisation and found two fatigue fractures (0.2%) at the aperture of the distal locking holes. This complication has not been described in the literature.

Antiphospholipid Antibodies in Implantation Failures*
American Journal of Reproductive Immunology, 2003PROBLEM: The amino phospholipids (PL), phosphatidylserine (PS) and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) are distributed asymmetrically in the plasma membranes of eucaryotic cells. This arrangement involves active transport of PS and PE from the outer to inner membrane leaflet by an aminophospholipid translocase (flipase).

Toxicological Mechanisms of Implantation Failure
Toxicological Sciences, 1990Implantation in mammals requires the successful completion of a series of integrated phenomena, including uterine preparation, synchronized embryo transport, embryonic attachment, uterine transformation, placental development, and the requisite hormonal milieu to support each step. Potential for toxic interference with early pregnancy exists at several

Resolving recurrent implantation failure
Reproductive BioMedicine OnlineRecurrent implantation failure (RIF) continues to represent a difficult clinical challenge.
