Forecasting the Dialysis Burden in Japan: Validation‐Based Projections of Prevalence and Incidence Through 2050

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

A framework for implementing micro frontend architecture

open access: yesInternational Journal of Web Engineering and Technology, 2021
Web applications are an indispensable part of any enterprise information system. In the recent past, we have seen maturity in technologies that enable the separation of frontend and backend, with the backend adopting microservices architecture style. The front end has maintained the traditional monolithic architecture. Micro frontends have come up as a

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

A framework based on implementation relations for implementing LOTOS specifications [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Networks and ISDN Systems, 1992
Summary: A framework is developed for studying the implementation process, as a stepwise process in which an abstract specification is successively transformed to reach a final compilable specification adapted to the computer environment. In this context, an implementation relation is referred to as the relation which should link any ``valid ...

A General Implementation Framework for Tabled CLP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper describes a framework to combine tabling evalua- tion and constraint logic programming (TCLP). While this combination has been studied previously from a theoretical point of view and some implementations exist, they either suffer from a lack of efficiency, flex- ibility, or generality, or have inherent limitations with respect to the ...
