Intention-Aware Multiagent Scheduling

open access: yes, 2020
The Belief Desire Intention (BDI) model of agency is a popular and mature paradigm for designing and implementing multiagent sys- tems. There are several agent implementation platforms that follow the BDI model.

Do implementation intention prompts promote children’s learning with a digital learning app?

open access: yes, 2022
Digital learning environments such as learning apps provide unique opportunities for education outside the formal school context. However, they also come with high self-regulatory demands because children need to use these learning apps independently and

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Does stigmatization moderate the association between intention and implementation of learned prevention-strategies at work after a depressive episode? – a cross-sectional pilot study

open access: yesJournal of Occupational Medicine and Toxicology, 2019
Background A depressive episode is a frequent reason for production loss due to long periods of absence at work. To maintain work ability after depression, affected employees need to implement learned coping strategies from interventions at work.

Bedtime Stress Increases Sleep Latency and Impairs Next-Day Prospective Memory Performance

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2020
The cognitive construct of prospective memory (PM) refers to the capacity to encode, retain and execute delayed intentions (e.g. to remember to buy milk on the way home).

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Breaking Habits Using Implementation Intentions

open access: yes, 2018
In this chapter we discuss how, and under which conditions, implementation intentions can be used to overcome unwanted habits, with a focus on unhealthy eating habits. We will highlight the mechanisms by which implementation intentions are (in)effective in changing habits generally, as well as decreasing unwanted habits specifically.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
