On completely integrable implicit ordinary differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
For smooth explicit n-th order ordinary differential equations, there exists a unique solution with initial condition and hence exists an n-parameter family of solutions at least locally.

Machine Learning Accelerated Computational Design of Bio‐Inspired Catalysts in the Nitrogen Reduction Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a computational workflow that combines quantum chemical calculations and machine learning techniques to predict the catalytic performance of a wide range of catalysts in the nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR). The analysis of the trained models provides insights into the complex structure–activity relationship in experimental catalytic ...

The assessment of nanofluid in a Von Karman flow with temperature relied viscosity

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
This work endeavor to study the heat and mass transfer viscous nanofluid features in a Von Karman flow invoking the variable viscosity mechanism. Moreover, we have extended our study in view of heat generation and uniform suction effects.

Implicitization of differential rational parametric equations

open access: yesJournal of Symbolic Computation, 2003
The problem of implicitization for algebraic varieties takes care of finding algorithms to get the ideal of an unirational algebraic variety from a system of parametric equations. This classical problem has been much studied in recent years with the method of Gröbner bases. Here the analogous problem is studied for differential varieties.

An Implicit Equation Given Certain Parametric Equations

open access: yesMissouri Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2006
This paper concerns finding the implicit equation of a given monomial parametrization of projective surfaces. The discussion is concentrated on the irreducibility of the equation.

On the covering dimension of the set of solutions of some nonlinear equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
We prove an abstract theorem whose sole hypothesis is that the degree of a certain map is nonzero and whose parametric equations are studied using cohomological mconclusions imply sharp, multidimensional continuation results.

Soft Hardware, Flowing Software: Reconfigurable Microfluidics for Adaptable Chemical Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable microfluidic platform based on soft, photo‐printable, and chemically erasable hydrogel structures printed and erased in situ is used to control flow routing, mixing, chemical patterning, and even chemical computing. Using hardware to control chemical computations decouples logic function from molecular composition, demonstrated via ...

A Fast Implicit Finite Difference Method for Fractional Advection-Dispersion Equations with Fractional Derivative Boundary Conditions

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2017
Fractional advection-dispersion equations, as generalizations of classical integer-order advection-dispersion equations, are used to model the transport of passive tracers carried by fluid flow in a porous medium.

Peano's Theorem for Implicit Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2001
The author proves an existence result for the Cauchy problem \[ F(t,x,x', \ldots,x^{(m)})=0,\quad x(0)=x_0,x'(0)=x_1, \ldots, x^{(m-1)}(0)=x_{m-1}, \] with \(m \in {\mathbb N}\). He looks for solutions in the Lipschitz sense and gives an example where there exist no classical solutions.

Hyers–Ulam–Rassias Stability of Nonlinear Implicit Higher-Order Volterra Integrodifferential Equations from above on Unbounded Time Scales

open access: yes
In this paper, we present sufficient conditions for Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of nonlinear implicit higher-order Volterra-type integrodifferential equations from above on unbounded time scales.
