An evaluation of implicit surface tilers
IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 1993The authors review the principal algorithms for the polygonization of implicit surfaces and provide a framework for identifying their conceptual similarities and practical differences. The algorithms' merits are evaluated according to topological disambiguation, implementation complexity, and triangle count.

Interactive sculpting with implicit surfaces
Proceedings of the seventh ACM symposium on Solid modeling and applications, 2002Providing the user with an intuitive sculpting system similar to real clay is one of the most challenging long term goals in interactive modeling. The user should ideally be able to deform, add and remove material, with no restriction on the geometry and topological genius of the solid being edited.

Hierarchical implicit surface refinement
Proceedings. Computer Graphics International 2001, 2002A novel method of hierarchical implicit modeling is presented in which an implicit object is modeled using a hierarchy of implicit surfaces. The hierarchy provides both layered local refinement and global deformation. Local refinement allows the introduction of higher-level detailed surfaces.

Implicit surface triangulation with sampling
2012 3rd IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content, 2012This paper presents a new way for implicit rendering with particle systems. A seed particle needs to be found at first, which updates itself in a way of cube-finding. Other particles are initialized by this particle. We can set the number of particles. There are repulsion forces between the particles.

Fast Polygonization of Implicit Surfaces.
Our work is centered on the use of implicit surfaces in interactive applications (at least 10 frames per sec) running on high-end consumer architecture (modeling, simulation, deformable body animation, games).
