How strong is the impact of exports and other demand components on German import demand? Evidence from euro-area and non-euro-area imports [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper presents a single error-correction analysis of German total, euro-area (intra) and non-euro-area (extra) import demand for the 1980-2004 period and the more recent 1993-2004 period.

Semantic Modeling in Materials Science and Engineering With Platform MaterialDigital Core Ontology 3.0

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The community‐driven Platform MaterialDigital Core Ontology (PMDco) 3.0 is introduced as a Basic Formal Ontology‐aligned semantic backbone for the processing–structure–properties paradigm in Materials Science and Engineering. Modular engineering, automated releases, and validation workflows are highlighted and key semantic patterns for materials ...

The impact of oil prices on import demand in an oil-rich country: a multisectoral Bayesian approach

open access: yesCogent Economics & Finance
This study examines Qatar’s import demand function across sixteen economic sectors, employing a Bayesian approach to estimate the price, income and oil price elasticities. The findings reveal that import demand is predominantly price inelastic (−0.079 to

A SURVEY ON EFFECTIVE FACTORS ON DEMAND OF CONSUMPTION, CAPITAL AND INTERMEDIATE GOODS [PDF]

open access: yesفصلنامه پژوهش‌های اقتصادی ایران, 2003
In the analysis of macroeconomic problems and eonomic policies, the survey of import demand function is very important and it has a key role in efficiency and effectiveness of trade policies.

Source Differentiated Mexican Dairy Import Demand [PDF]

open access: yes
Mexico is a major destination of dairy exports and is the single largest importer of US dairy exports. We use a restricted source almost ideal demand system to estimate the demand for dairy products imported into Mexico.

Integration of OpenCV‐Based Microscopic Adhesive Volume Measurement Into a Pyiron Workflow for Automated Data Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Residual adhesive after electrode loading in adhesive‐assisted resistance spot welding is quantified through a traceable experimental‐to‐digital workflow. Chromatic confocal topography provides calibrated surface‐height data, while OpenCV detects the electrode imprint and integrates adhesive height into comparable volume metrics.

IMPORT DEMAND SYSTEM ANALYSIS OF THE SOUTH KOREAN WINE MARKET WITH THE SOURCE DIFFERENTATED AIDS MODEL [PDF]

open access: yes
Under the assumption of block substitutability and partial aggregation, a source differentiated AIDS model was used to estimate South Korean wine import demand. Empirical results indicate that South Korean wine consumers have a strong preference for high

Simulation‐Based Analysis of Insert Pull‐Out in Nickel‐Polyurethane Hybrid Foams Using CT‐Derived Geometries

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
CT‐based finite element simulations combined with in situ X‐ray computed tomography are used to analyze insert pull‐out in nickel‐coated polymer foams. Despite variations in material parameters, deformation consistently concentrates within a narrow annular region around the insert.

Import Demand in Heterogeneous Panel Setting [PDF]

open access: yes
To study the elasticities of import demand function, we build a heterogeneous panel with data of 40 counties and use panel unit root tests (Im, Pesaran and Shin, 1997) and panel cointegration tests (Pedroni, forthcoming).

Morphology, Transport, and Dynamics of Protein Adsorption in Open‐Cell Metal Foam

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stainless steel (SS) open‐cell foams are shown to adsorb more protein per unit area than previously reported 316L SS and chromium oxide surfaces under static and flow conditions. An integrated approach combining 3D pore imaging, flow simulation, and protein adsorption experiments characterizes the foam’s performance.
