Printed Integrated Logic Circuits Based on Chitosan‐Gated Organic Transistors for Future Edible Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

Multi-User Performance Issues in Wireless Impulse Radio Networks

open access: yes, 2005
While Impulse Radio (IR) has shown tremendous potential for high throughput local area networks based on time domain separation techniques, the stringent parametric assumptions required for practical implementation have not been clearly evaluated ...

Review: Soil Electrical Characteristics Under High Impulse Currents

open access: yes, 2006
This paper aims to extensively review, discuss, and compare the published studies on soil behavior under high currents, based on field tests, laboratory tests, and computational methods, conducted by previous authors from 1928 to 2003. The paper presents

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Sensitivity of caloric test and video head impulse as screening test for chronic vestibular complaints

open access: yesClinics
OBJECTIVE: This study compared the results of the caloric test with those of the video head impulse test obtained during the same session and evaluated whether the former can be used to screen for non-acute vestibular dysfunction.

Impulse-voltage breakdown characteristics of large gaps at low pressures

open access: yes, 1971
A study of the gap breakdown voltage characteristic at a low pressure of 7×10-5 Torr with a standard (1/50)-μsec impulse-voltage wave reveals an agreement with the criterion Vb=Cd0.5 suggested by Cranberg.

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,
