Malectin Alleviates Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus via Glycoprotein Quality Control Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Malectin alleviates high glucose‐induced ER stress and damage in placental trophoblasts, a function dependent on its six critical carbohydrate‐binding residues. In a GDM mouse model, administration of TAT‐Malectin ameliorated hyperglycemia and placental ER stress and prevented fetal macrosomia.

Explaining the money demand of non-financial corporations in the Euro area: A macro and a micro view [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper analyses euro area non-financial corporations (NFC) money demand, both from a macro and a microeconomic point of view. At a macro level, money holdings are modelled as a function of real gross added value, the price level, the long-term ...

Deep Contrastive Learning for High‐Throughput Prediction of Drug Resistance Mutations from Sequences

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents DeepMutDTA, a deep learning framework aimed at predicting mutation‐induced changes in protein‐drug interactions and prioritizing variants potentially linked to drug resistance. Trained on large‐scale data, it incorporates SimSiam‐MuTF, a label‐aware contrastive fine‐tuning strategy that encourages separation between WT and MT ...

FOREX Microstructure, Invisible Price Determinants, and the Central Bank's Understanding of Exchange Rate Formation [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper investigates the transmission of macroeconomic factors into the price-setting behavior of a specific dealer in the FX market. This problem is viewed from the perspective of a central banker who observes the price evolution but does not make the

Study of surface discharge behaviour at the oil-pressboard interface [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This thesis is concerned with the surface discharge behaviour at the oil-pressboard interface. For large transformers this is classified as a serious failure mode because it can lead to catastrophic failure under normal AC voltage operating conditions ...

HNRNPD Induces Radioresistance in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma by Sequestering GRAMD4 mRNA in Stress Granules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HNRNPD promotes radioresistance in nasopharyngeal carcinoma by enhancing stress granule assembly and sequestering GRAMD4 mRNA. This suppresses GRAMD4 translation and inhibits mitochondrial apoptosis. Targeting the integrated stress response with ISRIB restores GRAMD4 expression and sensitizes tumors to radiotherapy, revealing a translational control ...

Gut Microbiota, Immunity, and Metabolism in the Progression From Chronic Liver Disease to Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review explains how chronic liver injury progresses toward hepatocellular carcinoma through interconnected changes in gut microbes, metabolism, immunity, fibrosis, and diet. It highlights microbial metabolites, bile‐acid signaling, immune dysfunction, and nutritional or microbiome‐based interventions as opportunities to identify risk earlier ...
