Critical response of 2DOF elastic-plastic building structures under double impulse as substitute of near-fault ground motion

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment, 2016
The double impulse is introduced as a substitute of the fling-step near-fault ground motion and a critical elastic-plastic response of a 2DOF (two-degree-of-freedom) building structure under the ‘critical double impulse’ is evaluated.

DASP Implementation of Continuous-Time, Finite-Impulse-Response Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Digital Alias-free Signal Processing (DASP) uses random sampling to mitigate aliasing. This paper investigates the use of DASP for realization of continuous-time, linear, time-invariant systems with finite-duration impulse response.

Research on improving measurement accuracy of acoustic transfer function of underwater vehicle [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2021
To address the problem that acoustic transfer functions with underwater platforms cannot be measured accurately, this paper presents a method based on phase compensation to improve the accuracy of acoustic transfer function measurements on underwater ...

Allpass impulse response modelling

open access: yesCoRR, 2023
This document defines a method for FIR system modelling which is very trivial as it only depends on phase introduction and removal (allpass filters). As magnitude is not altered, the processing is numerically stable. It is limited to phase alteration which maintains the time domain magnitude to force a system within its linear limits.

Impulse response function for Brownian motion [PDF]

open access: yesSoft Matter, 2021
Motivated from the central role of the mean-square displacement and its second time-derivative – that is the velocity autocorrelation function in the description of Brownian motion, we revisit the physical meaning of its first time-derivative.

Macroeconomic effects of reallocation shocks: a generalised impulse response function analysis for three European countries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We develop a generalised impulse response function (GIRF) approach to explore the different impacts of aggregate and sectoral shocks within a VAR-GARCH-M model.

Critical Response of Single-Degree-of-Freedom Damped Bilinear Hysteretic System under Double Impulse As Substitute for Near-Fault Ground Motion

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment, 2018
A double impulse input is used as a substitute for near-fault earthquake ground motions. An explicit expression is derived on the maximum elastic–plastic response of a single-degree-of-freedom damped structure with bilinear hysteresis under the “critical

Relative Entropy (RE)-Based LTI System Modeling Equipped With Simultaneous Time Delay Estimation and Online Modeling

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This paper proposes a novel and efficient method of impulse response modeling in presence of input and noisy output of a linear time-invariant (LTI) system.

Impulse Feature Extraction of Bearing Faults Based on Convolutive Nonnegative Matrix Factorization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The detection of bearing faults is of great significance for the stable operation of rotating machinery. Apart from detection by analysing the vibration response, another powerful strategy is to extract the periodic impulse excitation directly induced by
