Summary: In this paper, the concept and principles of impulsive control are presented. Impulsive control can be applied to a class of systems whose state variables are changeable in a very short time period. In particular, the asymptotic stability of the impulsive control of a nonlinear system is given.

Zebrafish models of impulsivity and impulse control disorders
European Journal of Neuroscience, 2020Abstract Impulse control disorders (ICDs) are characterized by generalized difficulty controlling emotions and behaviors. ICDs are a broad group of the central nervous system (CNS) disorders including conduct disorder, intermittent explosive, oppositional‐defiant disorder, antisocial personality disorder ...

Neurobiology of impulsivity and the impulse control disorders
The Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, 1993Clinical impulsivity has been characterized in both dimensional and categorical terms. Whereas DSM-III-R classifies personality disorders characterized by impulsivity and impulse control disorders as discrete entities, impulsive symptoms and traits can also be conceived in terms of an underlying behavioral dimension.

Impulse is a memory system architecture that adds an optional level of address indirection at the memory controller. Applications can use this level of indirection to remap their data structures in memory. As a result, they can control how their data is accessed and cached, which can improve cache and bus utilization.

Impulse-based Control of an Impulsive Haptic Interface
Second Joint EuroHaptics Conference and Symposium on Haptic Interfaces for Virtual Environment and Teleoperator Systems (WHC'07), 2007In a previous paper, the authors presented the first haptic display capable of applying directly an impulse to its operator. The resulting immediate change in momentum is considered invaluable to make interactions with rigid virtual objects feel realistic. The size of the impulse is controlled by adapting the amount of momentum of a momentum wheel.
